The problem with having a crush, is that you find yourself projecting all these feelings, emotions, and potential scenarios into the mix. I recently got the wake up of my life. I came out to say goodmorning to my crush, and i swear to god he looked at me as though i'd grown two giant heads. Ouch right? Ouch indeed. I came to the conclusion that whatever i was reading in that scenario, i desperately needed to stop reading it. There's shyness which he's known for, and then there's that look which tells a million stories in one go.Why do i look for inane none progressive scenarios to over analyse and disect under a microscope? Am i really that bored? Or am i simply just a hopeless illusionist, rephrased, romantic at heart.There are certain area's of communication i haven't been perfect at, yet all in all i've learned to sense when a guy secretly enjoys your attention but want's nothing to do with you. Poor guy he didn't even know he had my attention.Silly me, what the hell am i doing?

I once came out of the hairdressers to have some twelve year old kid break down in cahoots of laughter. I was attempting the sexy sultry Afro, instead the hairdresser had given me 'termite Afro', the artistic effects of a scissor happy lunatic. This is the look i want. Towards the summer i do the prep. Exercise to the point my limbs dont feel likre my own, drink enough water to piss out my intestines, and do that uber hot Afro look i'm thirsty for. Same game, same story this year. It was a look. The look to end all looks, it was a brilliant summation of what people secretly think but don't say. I bumped into one of my friends/associates recently. I've always been addicted to motivational speaking,guys like Anthony Robbins, are the strawberry on my plate of cream. Anyway as usual i'm so juiced up on his jazz, i break into my usual motivational monologue about 'being able to do whatever you put your mind to.' True story, my friend looks at me, like "what the fuck are you giving me advice for, your just as broke as i am fool." You know what? I completely get it.
Talking aint the trick. People want to see results, life isn't Simon says. They want to see proof that not only can you do exactly what you say, but that there's hope they can.The reality is....your not always going to be able to give that to them.That instant result they require, they have to be committed enough to achieve it. Progress takes time,because life is about meaning.I believe a good goal, a real goal, meaty, and defined, is like going to the gym. Imagine putting on loads of pounds and having to work hard to burn it off. A lot of the time, the contentment and the sense of ease isn't about loosing the weight, it's about feeling strong in the knowledge that your taking action. Not just any action, consistent, focussed action. Just talking, isn't the trick.

How to not care what other people think and be happy

I've always cared too much about what other people thought.Sometimes obsessing over what people think is a fate worse than death. It leads to an obsessive distraction. People who you know are completely irrelevant to your life, your goals and ambitions, become your god. It hit me today. I asked a question about someone's behaviour. I realise i was asking the same question about the same person obsessively. For years i defended this argument. I defended it with passion, outlining the reasons, the vulnerabilities, the anger, the hurt, until it hit me.....so much wasted time. If i were to calculate the time i'd wasted trying to validate this persons behaviour as wrong and mine as right. It'd give you a headache that will break your heart. Wasted time, wasted potential. On what? Someone who was busy worshipping an insecurity complex of their own. Someone whose bad behaviour stemmed from a feeling of loneliness, someone who is already struggling with their own pain. Life is too short. Time cannot be ravaged trying to control something that's completely out of your hands. We cannot control the people outside of our intimate lives, yet we have to embrace, there's a reason their kept as outsiders in the first place. A reason we keep them at bay. How do you handle people who because of whichever history, whatever Personal vendetta, are trying to sabotage your energy? You fight to be happy anyway.

Turning adversity into spectacular change

Success isn't microwaveable. On tv shows, in movies, books sometimes, their always showing you how someone else became instantly successful. Success is all about adversity. Who are you when no one else can see it? What is your mental thought process? In the ring with a bull, how will you fight? Which version of yourself do you want to be.We can't guarantee we'll be the poster child for success. You can't guarantee that people who treated you as if you were nothing will suddenly start giving you a high five every street corner you turn. They're alowed to see what they see, but what do you see? What is your vision during the process. I will guarantee that as you strive to make dramatic changes in your life, the local bullies may still talk to you like you crawled out of their arse, the person your pining for may still not want to date you, the snob will still look down his/her nose at you. They are acting in accordance with what they believe they see, and who they believe they are.Many a time i've wasted in my life trying to prove to negative people that i'm equal to them, better even. I finally came to my senses and realised the more you try to prove yourself to the wrong people, the more they wont look. They see only what they want to see. In the process you become bitter, frustrated, angry even. Say one thing to yourself, and smile in the mirror every morning, say watch this space, because something positive is happening. You now have a chance to prove yourself to you.

The sin of unrequited love: How to get over it

It sucks when the object of your affection is constantly rejecting you, infact it bites. How do you get over those compulsive moments of daydreaming, mental exhaustion from over analysing how every sign, or body language reflects a hidden passion?

Accept that it's not in your control. No matter what you do in life, you cannot control someone's attraction to you. Acting this way or that doesn't guarantee you'll be their perfect match. Infact sometimes the more perfect you make yourself seem to someone, the more they may subconsciously retreat.

For the record there are billions of people on Earth. Out of those billions there's bound to be someone else who rocks your both, and who is convinced you turn their world upside down. Infact it's a known fact that the more you focus on building your self esteem, making yourself emotionally available for others to get close to, which includes socialising with friends and potential partners.I personally don't believe in frustrating your eggs in one basket. It's literally sin, to keep one person on a pedastal whilst you close your window to others who might be twice as eager for the chance to get to know who you are, ad celebrate that. Ask yourself a key question, if you were a hero or a heroine in a big blockbuster movie would you want them to go out with a bang, or would you want the movie to finish with them sobbing in their soup. You decide.

number 1: Focussing on the positive things i have for my future
number 2: Celebrating that there is a new year, and loads of positive change to be had. New year means new opportunities, new mindset, challenging weak disciplines.
Number 3: Lately the sight of happy couples puts a smile on my face. It's amazing to have that person to share your future with, and the joy and laughter it brings to others is beautiful to witness. I am a hopeless romantic and believe i'm on my way to a spectacular future with a great partner
Number 4: News of positive healing taking place. Messages that people who were unwell are being healed, renews my faith dramatically.
Number 5: Making progress on my novel, poetry or photography

New years resolution: a bite at a time

This year my new years resolution, is to do twice as much as i say. We've all been there, where you have an ambition, or a passion for something. You find yourself talking about it obsessively, yet when it comes to doing it, the concept slightly intimidates you. You find yourself procrastinating rather than doing the thing you outlined in your mind to do. There's dishes to be done, food to cook, a call to be made, a visit to the local superstore to be done.Whatever you need to do, do it a piece at a time. If its a novel start with one sentence at a time, a graphic design, a sketch at a time, nothing is made immaculate. We are all an evolving masterpiece, therefore we climb to our ascension, one step at a time.
