The Road Not Taken

by: Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Cowards and crunch time

People often do what they want to do, we make a million excuses to cover their tracks. If their acting badly and were hurt, we try and defend why they choose to act in such an appalling manner. For example when i liked someone once I made the mistake of defending their awful weak behaviour. I said they couldn't defend me because they were scared, and others around them were controlling them. Yet when I listened closely they laughed loudly at my ridicule and egged on the appalling behaviour of those around them. What made things even more pathetic was the same person who was joining others to tear me to shreds, still wanted to be liked, they wanted to be respected. So they'd wait until they saw others that were close to me and beg for validation. They were happy making us the butt off their jokes, or the object of ridicule so long as they were in a power position. Cowardice, cruelty, low self esteem and I realised what had I been thinking?

If someone is weak in a battle they'll be weak in a war. That fear mindset unless they choose to remove it, stays and you find yourself gutted you took a risk on someone who is spineless, and narcissistic, and disappointing. Fools rush in. Heal you, support you, be a platform for you.

Dating Disasters: How to deal with cruel rejection

Dealing with rejection/being snubbed/ridiculed by someone who you thought liked you can be a nightmare. You go back and forth through all the woven strands, their body language said this, it looked like they wanted to be near you, your head seemed to screech with the idea that maybe this guy could be the guy.....go for it....go for it.....splat.

first move in your own personal game of chess, let it go: Some things aren't meant for you. It may not seem so now, but the universe is trying to teach you a lesson rather than pro-longing the pain. You've been saved hours, weeks, months, possibly years. There are people now trapped in the wrong kind of relationship, because nobody had the heart to say no to them. That 'no' has saved you, from being led on, wasting time that could be well spent on your progress, on something as basic as pining or analysing.

There are loads of celebrities today, absolute stunners, who were actually turned down. The way someone rejects you also says a lot about their character. It speaks in volumes all the things they kept covered. For example someone who seemed shy, or quiet, might actually be a total jerk. Someone who seemed nice and kind, could even be quite villainous. If you take a risk on someone and they decide that now they are in a position of power, they will blast your nervous vulnerability all over the place with megaphone arrogance, then you know this is the real person.

You haven't missed out on much.Rejection, ridicule, snobbery, in time you will get over it, also you will find a partner who has better character. Sometimes we debate with ourselves, dragging out the agony. Let it go, it's done, and you have been saved a most costly plight. This does not me those same troubled feelings wont pop up, the hurt, anger, annoyance, feelings of rejection, ride them out. They will disappear with time.

Sometimes the most valuable things we learn is the lesson, and that is priceless. Take the lesson and use it.

Why thinking like a beagle could make you a billionaire

" It just doesn't make sense,"
"but I've seen it work before," you defend. Then you hear the dreaded line. For some it's haven't you got anything better to do, others have another idea neatly pushed in front of them, along with a job application form. They get told strategic stories about how 'settled' and how 'well' a sibling, or a friend is doing in another line of work. Respect echoes through the room, and they shrink with embarassment at having dared to produce their idea in the first place. They then learn to keep their ideas to themselves, lest their reminded about how badly they failed at something else.

Everything you see today was based upon someone else just like you having an 'idea.' They didn't let words strangle them, or other people make them feel inadequate enough to believe they couldn't accomplish what they made their mind up to do. They knew, how precious is. How easily it can evolve and change the lives of those around them. Toilet roll, shoes, cups, cutlery, beds, all necessary things now, but once upon a time they were simply ideas. Messy little ideas that needed to be re designed, reworked, edited, shaped in order to become what they are now.

When you have an idea do not be naieve enough to believe everybody will instantly fall to their hands and knees. Do not be deluded enough to think it will make you an instant millionaire. Care enough to sniff it out and see where it takes you. Be like the beagle.

Beagles are the most curious dogs on earth, my beagle to be precise is much more than your average character. If she picks up a scent, she'll sniff it out until she's leading you and not the other way around.  She has a hunger to find out exactly what the scent is.

Sniff out your idea, it is a scent worth chasing. Ideas have made people leave the scrap heap and become millionaires, billionaires even. From zero to deniro, they call it. In every life there's always someone that talks us out of risks, because they were too terrified to take risks themselves. If its not illegal, damaging to someone's life, sadistically cruel, then it's an idea worth sniffing out.

Trust: Positive Risk and How to trust

Trust like respect is earned.how to trust I didn't understand that growing up. I thought you always dive into situations head first, having the one with all the trust, desperate to win people over. This morning i sat in front of my sister mourning a past version of myself. The girl who two years ago would have done anything, and everything to please others, a girl who trusted blindly, and let people in, with such ease. In the past two/3 years a lot of crap has happened. Things that in life has you holding your hands out saying what the hell did i do? It doesn't make sense things came out this way. It's like wanting to dye your hair brown, and it coming out neon green/ purple. You read the directions over and over again. You scan each line methodically and at the end you scream, "what the hell this doesn't make sense?" "How did this happen?" Yet no matter how we look at it sometimes life just wont make sense. You say "I did a+b+c it's supposed to equal blah blah blah." Life just won't make sense everytime. That's why 'when bad things happen to good people' was written.I realise that i've become that girl giving an inch, observing, figuring out if someone deserves to be let in. Wanting to let someone get close yet due to stubborn principles, being frustrated about letting them in. Life puts you through the grindstone. It's like an obstacle course, and in obstacle courses layers of skin will be bruised, penetrated, left bleeding, with open sores, scars, and visible mistakes. If you are left with any iota of faith, principles, trust, confidence, you should pat yourself on the bat.

I realised that one of my key foundations, trust, has been shaken. Only trust is not simply a founding, it is a comprise of many different layers. Layers that have been ripped, bruised, battered and are taking time to heal. But it's taught me something valuable. People do have to earn my trust, as well as my respect. We are worth such efforts. The aim is not to villainise people, but to allow for a change, those who truly love us and truly care, to show they are worthy of taking a positive risk. We learn how to trust not by assumptions, but a series of visual risk. Actions that show that individual is willing to do rather than say. Behaviours that show an individual is supportive rather than poisonous. People will make mistakes because we are human i guess, but we have to decide wether those mistakes can be forgiven, based upon character.
