noise

What a shame
Too many strangers
Have no first name
Shakespeare quoted
The loss of a name
I reply
A modern shame
Identity's stiffened
The pen becomes strained
The signature in
Visible
To the man with no name
Blind men write
What they cannot see
The voice that's mine
Belongs to me
And yet
A throat can be snatched
Swallowed in sight
Let a voice collapse
For all the fear
Is crystallized in tongue
With one jagged second
Our noises are gone
