Those smouldering, intensely, naughty outfits you can picture yourself wearing...in front of your crush. Maybe there's chocolates on the side, some petals, and some itch between the toes snap the knee caps off high heels, you know you can only wear for the strut portion of the fantasy. Thats the first step to the emotionally abusive/ physically abusive relationship. The woman/ man so obsessed with the image they saw initially, begins a crusade. A candy crusade. Her abuser becomes airbrushed, and every conversation is an ad campaign to outsiders on how sweet the dysfunctional partner is. I have one question. Is the bruise sweet? Are the excuses sweet? Are the lost friendships and distanced family sweet? No it hurts you... How about the eggshell fear or the lack of trust? I re -watched little Miss Sunshine once again and remembered exactly why it captivated me. Directed by Jonatahn Dayton and Valerie Faris, starring Abigail Breslin, Greg Kinnear,Paul Dano, Steve Carell, Alan Arkin, and the Oscar award winning Toni Collette.Made in (2006) little Miss Sunshine is a movie that still inspires much insight. It's a film about one family's trial's and adventure as they journey to the little Miss Sunshine Pageant for their youngest daughter. Ultimately it's about not giving up, having the strength to keep going.
